The TELEMAC-MASCARET User Conference

The TELEMAC-MASCARET user conference takes place usually during autumn, on an annual basis. This seminar, quite informal, aims at providing:

  • The opportunity for the end-users to discuss with key representatives of the developer and distribution teams;
  • The opportunity for the developer teams to present latest advances and strategic plans;
  • The opportunity for end-users to discuss performance of new versions and features, have a say on ongoing developments; and
  • The opportunity for end-users to present their own work, to share their experiences and get feedback on best practices.

The outcome of previous TELEMAC User meetings is available through the menu to the right. These include the agenda and the presentations made by all during the seminars.

XXVIth TELEMAC-MASCARET User Conference

We look forward to welcoming you to the 26th annual Telemac-Mascaret Users conference in Toulouse, France, October, 15th-17th, 2019

The conference is organised by the European Center for Advanced Research and Training for Computational Science (CERFACS), Toulouse, France.

The conference will be held on the Météo-France campus, in the conference room CIC.

The conference will start with a one-day technical workshop, held on October 15th 2019, followed by a two-day conference on October 16-17th. A gala diner will take place on the 16th evening for delegates and guests.

  • The Telemac-Mascaret User Conference has proved crucial in bringing together an international group of engineers, scientists and hydrodynamicists to share best practise and ideas for the development of this unique hydro-informatics software system. What started as a small group of mostly developers at a workshop in Paris, in 1994, has grown into a successful annual event which attracts delegates from several continents.
  • The software has developed strongly, particularly since the adoption of the GNU Opensource platform in 2010 and new tasks in the marine and fluvial domains to which the Telemac-Mascaret system can be applied, are multitudinous. Advances in the capability of the system now encompass biogeochemical processes as well as physical, extending the system to ecosystem modellers from a wide range of scientific disciplines, as well as more traditional hydrodynamic modellers.
